I decided that a total lifestyle change is what was needed. I had to make major adjustments and eliminate the toxic products from my home and replace them with healthy alternatives from Young Living to aid healing in my body. 

A lifestyle is simply a process of choices. It is a choice of how you want to engage in what is going on around you. 
I had decided to bring Young Living in my life years ago first for the oils that had a majorly profound effect on my health and immediate need. I dove in to a full on lifestyle for 1 reason. 

As I needed help in healing my body I chose a natural approach rather than a synthetic approach and what I discovered in my seeking is that what matters the most and makes the biggest difference in a product or a company is the source. 
How close is it to the original source.

In fact, Young Living is working diligently to be your one stop shop that is basically your holistic amazon prime.  

They have been around for over 25 years and were doing this long before essential oils were cool. 
In fact if it were not for the founder D Gary Young, there would not be essential oils today.  
Food for thought, one of the richest men in the world now owns Whole Foods.
He did not do that because he cares for you! He did it because there is a HUGE market for it and he knows it is what everyone wants. HELLO!

Did you know that your brain and your nerves are highly fatty organs?

 It is true. 
Why is that important to know? Well first let’s look around at the rise of emotional, mental and neurological issues.

I am sure that you, like me, also can’t help but to notice the rise of cancer, auto -immune and dysfunction in our society today.
 Even children are being born with diseases. 

In 2017 I was one of the 1 and 4 women diagnosed with breast cancer. When I began to research the root cause I was astonished at what I found.

 Since then, this message has become very personal to me and super important to share and educate others about the importance of avoiding harsh chemicals.

Let me share some of what I have learned.
 When the world was created with God’s spoken word He also created resources for us-PLANTS!   
If you look at history you will find many alternative plant based methods of wellness. 

The leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations;
 revelations 22:2

There are many reasons why Cancer and disease happen but things like parabens and philates are directly linked to Cancer and particularly breast cancer. 

Parabens are in many chemical ingredients one being Sodium Laurel Sulfate.

 Look in your bath and body products, your make -up, your everyday products that we all use! It is in everything! 
There are so many ingredients in our products that are not carbon molecule based, meaning they are not from the earth. God did not make them!

These chemicals and ingredients are derived in a lab synthetically and we put them on, in and around our bodies. 
We spray them, rub them, even eat them ,and we lather them on our skin, which keep in mind is our largest organ.

 When we do that over and over again year after year it accumulates and gets stuck in our fat cells and tissue. 

Synthetic chemicals accumulate in the fat cells of humans and remember, our brains and nerves are highly fatty organs. We put more toxins on and in our body in the first hour of our day then our ancestors did in their entire life. Think about that.
As we accumulate more synthetic chemicals in our body they are known to be endocrine disruptors (hormone changing) and begin to mimic estrogen. This is referred to as Xeno-estrogens. Xeno means false. They absorb into the body and attach to estrogen receptors and change the way your body functions.

In fact the Environmental Working group (EWG) spearheaded a study that detected 287 chemicals in the umbilical cord blood of newborn babies, 180 of those are known to cause cancer, 217 of which are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 28 cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests. 
Then, being clueless we unknowingly apply toxic chemicals to our baby’s tender skin that covers their sweet little fat. Are you beginning to understand the correlation of our cultures health issues and the need for an intervention? I hope so!

That is a loaded phrase right?  I hear this a lot lately. So I decided to sit down and think about it. Novel idea to think about what you think about.
Mindset is nothing more than a choice. I choose to take control of my thoughts.

For instance this morning I could have chosen to feel tired and grumpy because I just didn’t sleep well last night.

I don’t know what the deal was but a queasy tummy kept me awake for a few hours. So, naturally this morning I felt a little slow.

I could have chosen to lean into that and lay around and be unproductive or I could choose to feel good and be productive.

It is actually pretty darn amazing. Try it right now.   Just think and make a conscious choice to feel great, right now “I feel great!”   
Did you feel a shift? I did!!! 

You can sing. You can smile. It is really hard to be grumpy and smile.
You can move your body. You can do something like make your bed.
There are all kinds of things you can do but, the first thing MUST BE TO CHOOSE!

Did you know that your cells listen to your thoughts and then they are obedient to your thoughts?  The bible says to “take every thought captive” 

So … if you want a happy life, choose to have one.  
Pretty amazing right.  It sounds simple and honestly, it is. Simply make it a habit to take those thoughts captive. 

I don’t know about you but I use essential oils frequently. They are superstars for emotions. If you have Young Living oils, try this “great day” protocol.

Valor- 1 drop on left wrist, place right wrist on top and hold for 30 seconds

Harmony- 1 drop above the belly button

Joy- 1 drop above your heart

White Angelica- Crown and Down. Take 1 drop in palm and brush down head, face, shoulders and body in a “shield” formation.

This is an amazing protocol along with the choice to have a great day!

Movement is life! We need to be in motion – we were created for 

Let’s be honest, we live very sedentary lives. We sit to drive to and fro, we sit at work (mostly) sit at dinner, sit in front of TV or computer after dinner, and then we lay to sleep.
We need movement to circulate our blood. Lack of movement causes lack of oxygen and slow blood circulation.
There are a couple of things we can do during the day to increase movement. Take the stairs rather than elevator. Park further out to increase steps. Take a walk around the office inside or preferably outside if possible every couple of hours.

Find ways to get some movement in everyday to increase lymph and blood circulation.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I decided to heal holistically and I learned a ton. If only I knew these things before to prevent illness in the first place. This is when I learned all about intelligent design of the body and how to help it thrive.

Exercise and movement is a huge part of healing.

In addition to daily movement, deliberate exercise is necessary also.
Moderate aerobic exercise 30-45 minutes 6 days a week.

Here are some thing you can do. Walking. Your goal should be 3 miles in 45 minutes.
Short light run. You can even alternate walking and jogging if you like. Personally, I hate running but I do love to walk outdoors.
Bike riding, Yoga, dancing (I love the figure 8 program), Zumba, jazzercise, rebounder, swimming. Swimming is great exercise but chlorine is VERY TOXIC so choose a salt water pool.

Today there are so many on line options, even for free.. We have NO EXCUSE!
If you can’t do 45-60 minutes at one time then break it into 15-20 segments. I have to do it all at one time or I won’t get it in.
Do whatever works for you.
Exercise increases oxygen, boosts T-cell production and boosts your immune system. Plus it releases endorphins which make you feel good.
Who doesn’t want to feel good!? When you exercise , you are telling your body to LIVE!

On the flip side the other super important component to healing and maintaining health is, SLEEP.

Healthy Leftovers.
Have you ever had those mornings that you want a yummy healthy breakfast but you don’t want to cook?

 Yeah me too.

In fact it happened today and then I remembered I had some left over quinoa from my awesome Quinoa Enchilada Casserole two nights before.

Here is what I did:

I probably had about a half a cup of Quinoa
Mix with some coconut milk (to consistency you prefer)
1 TBLSP of Almond butter
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Sprinkle of vanilla protein powder.

 This was so satisfying. In fact I think I will keep some Quinoa made up in the fridge from now on.

You could add some pumpkin puree and vanilla.
Pumpkin and nutmeg.
Cinnamon and nutmeg
The possibilities are endless. 

Of course you could use any milk you prefer but a dairy free option is my preference.
